A new twist on a classic, dinner and a movie, has emerged in New Orleans at the stylish W Hotel. The hotel host of the Cocktail Film Fest event is sure to bring together the perfect trifecta of elements: film, food and cocktails.

Well known cocktail industry extraordinaire Cheryl Charming, will host the dinner-party style events on March 21 – 22, introducing guests to the night’s theme, on which the dinner, film and drinks will all revolve. The event is a prequel to the upcoming Tales of the Cocktail event to occur in New Orleans July 16-20 at the Hotel Monteleone.

Three films will play total, Casablanca on Friday night at 8pm, an early bird 5pm showing of The Seven Year Itch on Saturday, as well as a Saturday night 8pm screening of Guys and Dolls.

Casablanca guests will of course enjoy a Moroccan themed ensemble of foods, while Seven Year Itch guests will receive the best of 1955 in happy hour form and even a surprise guest. Guys and Dolls viewers will be treated to gourmet versions of TV dinners, since of course, this is not your typical takeout and tube night.

Film and food buffs can enjoy all the films at a discount or just the ones they choose. There are also special discounts offered by the W Hotel for those who park and/or stay at the hotel throughout the event. Hotel Nikko has recently opened the long awaited Rrazz Room on the main lobby level of the hotel.

A project led by Rrazz Entertainment, the duo has had success in many other San Francisco ventures and were ready to re-install a classic nightclub into a central downtown location.

The Rrazz Room aims to bring people back to the days of cabaret when people dressed to impress and strong, vibrant, vocalists made the occasion worth sprucing up for. With rich hues of brown and turquoise and city views as the stage backdrop, the Rrazz room decor brings modern themes to the classic cabaret.

The venue will host a blend of music as well, from cabaret and classic jazz singers to American Idol, hoping to lure in tourists of all kinds as well as locals.
