And it is choosing Shanghai as the place to do it with a plan to open the chain’s first art-deco boutique hotel in the Chinese mega-city. The Langham Yangtze Boutique Shanghai will have a prime location across from People’s Square near the Shanghai Art Museum and Grand Theatre. The 101 room property will feature a world-class spa and rooftop banquet room. We look forward to seeing how the hotel chain founded in 1865 does with the art-deco style when the Langham Yangtze opens in mid-2008.
